Denim has always been one of my main my go-to wardrobe pieces for any type of occasion. Yep, I love to wear denim when I want to be casual/comfortable, and even when I want to wear a dressy top with denim. You just can't go wrong with denim jeans! I don't know about you all, but when I find a really good pair of jeans that I love, I literally hold on to them for years. I still wear a pair of jeans that I got about 7 years ago. Not all jeans will last a long time though. You have to find the right fit, and the right quality - if you care. I recently got rid of a few pairs of old jeans because lately, I've been investing in higher quality pairs. Thanking myself now. On another note - I've always had an issue with finding the perfect fit because of my small waist and slightly curvy lil' bum. Thanks, Mom! But I love it. So when Topshop x Stylinity reached out for a denim collaboration, I was super excited because not only was it was right up my alley, but it was time to try out a different brand for denim that I hadn't tried before.

Have any of you ever worn Topshop denim? I am now in love. First of all; COST. For as nice as the quality is, Topshop denim is affordable for everyone! Starting at $65+, and with a wide range of fits you can find your perfect pair for sure. Sizes start from 24-36 with options for petite, regular, tall, and maternity. One for all! Literally. Personally, I love a high-waist fit with a cropped ankle. In this first look - my denim style is the MOTO Indigo Clean Rinse Straight. I got them with a longer length just so I can have the option to roll the ankle or wear them longer for a looser fit look. Considering trying Topshop denim? I'd say that you wouldn't be disappointed! If you have a pair of Topshop denim already, what are your favorite fits? I think my next pair that I plan on purchasing will be the Jamie! Ahhhhh, LA. Y'all probably know by now that it's by favorite place to be. I was there a few weeks ago only for a couple of days after we drove from Las Vegas celebrating Des' birthday weekend. I know I have been sort of M.I.A. but I am moving! Forgive me. You know how busy and stressful moving can be so it has been tying me up along with daily work. (I'm trying to stop making excuses but sheeeesh) it's been hectic! But anyway, hope you guys are well! We only spent 3 days in LA but we certainly made the most of it while we could! Visited with my high school friend Yvette, shopped around the Grove around a bit, strolled Abbot Kinney Blvd, Melrose, Venice Beach, and ate....a lot. New favorite healthy lunch spot - The Butcher's Daughter Venice. They have a spicy kale caesar salad that is off the chaaaaiiiin. Of course I had to squeeze in some time to take a few photos of my outfits that I wore while there. In LA we always walk a lot so I've learned my lesson by bringing comfortable shoes for almost everyday. The weather is just about perfect, so I opted for this gingham dress from Lulu's and paired it with these Gazelle Adidas for a sporty look. It can be kind of chilly during the day so I had a denim jacket on hand when I needed it. What pieces are you looking forward to wearing for Spring/Summer? I'm looking forward to wearing more sneakers with casual-chic outfits!

Happy Monday, y'all! With Valentine's Day being only a couple days away, I guess I'm considering this a "last minute" post for all of your last minute ideas. Wait....I just realized that every time there's a holiday (that we need to shop for) I always always always create a "last minute" post. I promise I'm not always late with everything. Hahaha. I do a lot of things better under pressure and I know that I'm not the only one! Just being realistic. I don't always shop for birthday/Christmas/Valentine's Day gifts months and weeks ahead, I shop the week before..maybe the week of..or a couple days before. *slaps forehead* If you're reading this, you're probably a last minute shopper too (or just reading the blog & I thank you!) so don't worry, I got you.

Although Valentine's Day is not a holiday that I go crazy about, I do still buy a little something for my parents (some sort of couple's thing) and my man. This year, we aren't planning much. I'll be working that day so I'm sure it will be a nice night in with my favorite bottle of Prosecco and I ain't mad at that. Des' birthday is also next week (Lord I still have to buy him a birthday gift) and we will be going on a little fun quick trip so I'm okay with laying low this week/weekend. IF - and that's a strong if we do something for Valentine's Day, I plan on wearing this Tularosa dress because it's so comfortable, casual, yet flirty, which would be perfect for a date night out. And it's on major sale!!!! What are your plans for Valentine's Day? Do you and your significant other normally go all out or just Netflix and chill? If you're still looking for outfit ideas, look no further! You might be cutting it close for ordering + on time delivery but some places have reasonable overnight options, or you can just get your inspiration ideas here and go find them in store. Do your thing, girl!

Happy Friday everyone! Can you believe that January is finally over? It seems like I'm not the only one who felt like January took his sweet ol' time. It was the lonnnnnnnngest month everrrrr. Exaggeration much needed there.  I got a lot of things done, and I have a lot of exciting things coming up! Just a random thought: I am so thankful for life. If you are breathing you should be too. Life is too short to take for granted and could be taken away at any moment. So love those around you.

Okay, about this leopard coat. When I tell you I have been on the hunt for a leopard coat for a YEAR now, I'm not kidding. So, I tried to find a good one that I loved last year, but I never found the right one. Either the print was not too cute, too shiny, or sold out. Story of my life right. Every year, Zara comes out with a leopard coat and they sell out within a few weeks and then you can't find it anywhere. The good thing is, leopard coats never ever ever go out of style! So you can buy one when Winter is over (most likely on sale) and then save it for the following year. Recently this past Fall, I ordered two leopard coats that I had to return because I didn't like the type of leopard print. Does that make sense? I wanted one so bad so I just waited it out until I found another one that I loved. Once again, Zara came out with another one this year which didn't last very long and I got it! I got lucky because it was the last one in store, on SALE. Major score.

So here's why you need a leopard coat in your life:

A.  Leopard coats can make just about any outfit come alive. You don't have to just wear matchy matchy black outfits. (I did because that's what I wanted to wear that day haha) You can wear different prints like stripes, or graphic print t-shirts for a more casual but well put-together look.

B.  Again, leopard coats never go out of style. As I mentioned before - they were pretty popular around last year, the year before, and now. Depending on where you live, you can rock a faux fur coat a couple times throughout the year (unless you live in Texas like me.) I just love how versatile you can get with a leopard coat.

Happy Sunday, y'all! It has been such a refreshing week for me because I have had a lot of time to get things D O N E. My man was out of town for work the whole week, and my dog Zeik is at camp - lol. He loves it. I finally got the chance to reach out to some vendors for the wedding and secured some meetings. Go me! (I'm always last minute with things.) Anyway, since some of you are new to the blog - welcome! It's still so cold here in Texas and I'm excited that I get still wear a few coats that have been hanging in the closet. I was soooo lucky that I got this Top Shop coat (now sold out)  because it would sell out, restock, sell out, restock and I kept watching the site until I finally scored it. And it was on sale. Not to rub that in. But I love the color even more in person. It's such a gorgeous shade of pink it's almost more on the warm, mauve neutral side.

This coat is also so very comfortable and oh so warm. I just wanna sleep in it. I didn't plan on wearing it with a pink sweater and a pink bag, it just kind of happened. I loved how the different shades of pink worked so well so I ran with it. I also plan on wearing this coat with a black or brown turtleneck and black pants - maybe. It's that versatile. The one that I am wearing is called "Alicia" and it also came in a pretty brown color. Even though you can't get this one anymore, I have rounded up 5 other pink coats that you should check out! Even if you aren't a pink girl you still might like these because...they're that good. Also, 'tis the season to buy coats because of the many Winter sales going on this time of the year. Have a wonderful weekend! <3

I've been on the hunt for a g o o d pair of red booties for a couple months now - until I found theeeeeeese. Everywhere I looked, I just could not find the right style that would suit me. Either the heel would be too short, my size was sold out, or I'd find a pair way out of my price range. It seems as if those were my ongoing issues with solving my red bootie fix. I finally found this pair at Steve Madden and instantly loved the pointed toe with the chunky blocked heel. Red is just like a neutral that can be paired with so many shades in your wardrobe to make a bold pop when needed. Not to mention, the color red is so sexy! I pulled the look together with my new striped sweater that I love oh so much from my friends over at Dylan Wylde during their Holla Day party back in December. I do plan on wearing it a few more times with denim or a skirt before I put it away until it gets cold enough again. Sweater weather will be over soon in Texas...and I don't know if I'm excited about that or sad?

Just as I was toward the end, I thought I'd add a little bit of encouragement to this post. At first I was thinking; "wait this is just supposed to be an outfit post." But whatever. I thought about Oprah's speech at the Golden Globes last night and felt so inspired. If you didn't get a chance to catch it live then here it is. Just remember ladies; you are enough. Enough to create change, enough to speak up, enough to stand up, and enough to run anything you want. YOU. ARE. ENOUGH.

With Christmas just around the corner you might find yourself doing lots of last minute shopping for gifts, holiday decor, things to wear to holiday parties, etc. There are only 11 days left until Christmas day and I still have not finished all of my gift shopping yet! Have you? I don't know why, but I always get it all done within a couple days before. Surely I'm not the only one. It's just something about crunch time and being under pressure that really puts that fire under my a-- for me to get a move on. But I still get it done.

Just in time for the season; I have collaborated with JORD to keep me and my time organized. Normally I'm working so much during the week and weekends throughout the holidays, I barely have time do the things that I need (and want) to do for myself or with my family. JORD  (which is the Danish meaning for "Earth" ) is a watch company that focuses on creating unique wooden timepieces modeled after a modern lifestyle. There are a wide range of women's and men's watches to choose from that are conveniently priced from $139 - $395 to find that perfect gift for yourself, or for a loved one. The JORD brand is centered on the concept of the journey, and that every second counts. Their watches are built around this core belief and their timepieces aim to tell more than just time. Additional options include watch engraving, watch sizing, and watch box engraving.

I am wearing the  "F R A N K I E " series in Dark Sandalwood & Smoke. Did I mention that this one is unisex? I love the dark wood because it can match just about anything and has just the right amount of masculinity/femininity.

I also have something special for all of you who are interested! You can click this link to receive a 25% off coupon for your purchase! It expires December 19th, so you might want to take advantage of this limited offer before it's gooooooooooone. Just go here: and enter your email address. OH, just one more thing - for a limited time only you can also enter the code ENGRAVE4FREE to get your wooden watch box engraved! Shipping is free worldwide.

Thank you JORD for sponsoring this post!

Corduroy anything just feels so comfortable especially if the piece is lightweight. I remember wearing corduroy outfits when I was a little girl (loved it then) and still wearing corduroy 20 plus years later. This culotte pair from Zara was such a good find! The rust color with the 70's zipper pull is what sold me. I've always loved good neutrals because you can honestly never go wrong when mixing and matching with different outfits. I feel like my style has become more and more relaxed lately since I'm always on the go with a full-time job while trying to put in w e r k for this blog! That being said; I'm always shopping for things that I can wear multiple times, different ways, and that will last me for a long time. I can be guilty of buying "fast fashion" trendy pieces that I only wear once or twice. With the new year coming up - I'll be cleaning out my closet and getting rid of things I haven't worn or don't wear as much, and replacing those with staples that I won't get tired of and can be worn years from now. What are some of your must-haves in your closets?
